Hi Iztok, it's Peter here. So thrilled to see u digging in and complete an talk with two seniors (Buha and Lane). The podcast run by those two insiders is one of the favorite program I'd like to watch. I will view it later about your comprehensive interpretation. Tribute to u hardwork.

Best regards

Hei Iztok,

Do you believe Williams will be our PF starter or considering Thybulle potentially be a more mature POA defender to be a possibility there considering Luka as a PF defender?

I talked about it in our chat with Jovan and Trevor...I think they'll manage Thybulle's minutes and role carefully. Based on his injury history, I would expect more like a situational, off the bench role. But if they trust him to be 100% healthy, and trust his body can make it through hole season in bigger role, both big IFs...he should be considered.

This roster is so intriguing! Looking forward to how the pieces fit. I wrote about the offense and how JJ and LeBron discussed it in a podcast, March 2024, on Mind the Game. The offense is going to be prolific!

Hi Marcus, good to hear from you and see you here! And I'll check your article on your substack.

Iztok, great conversation with Trevor and Jovan (my other favorite Lakers podcast is the Lakers Film Room)! On a slightly different topic, are there any new analytic trends that you could see lakers leaning into with their overhauled roster, and trying to optimize roles? Or are there any advances with AI that can help flag early warning signs that signal a player is at higher risk of injury based on biomechanics on the court, weight room, or practice session? I don’t know what the overall NBA trends were last year for calf/lower body injuries, but keeping Luka/AR/Kessler playing at their peak for more games is obviously a priority…

I didnt see any AI health related stuff, but because of the sensitive personal data attached to it, I think teams are even more keeping this under the radar. I read in the past what mavs did with biometrics and other health related data.

I dont know if you've seen it, but there was a recent article about data supporting the case that recent achilles injuries were preceded by 10-15 games stretch of high load / minutes, if I am not mistaken. We talked on the podcast, that this roster finally gives JJ the option to play extended rotation and fewer minutes for key guys. Will he, or will Luka and Austin accept it...that's what we'll see soon.

I saw the video this morning ! I like 👍 Jovan and Trevor ! Yossi gozlan said the lakers had the worst offseaon of every nba team ! I think 🤔 the offseaon is pretty 🤩 good and when we get like a JK/ PJ Washington and a Goga bitazde ( or Jalen smith or Nick Richard’s ) it’s even an A plus for me ! Sam Quinn said C minus ! Hopefully Luka and Austin and Kessler and the rest of the team will watch those videos in

Slowenia minicamp and get motivated! I think you can even start Thybulle and let Luka defend the 4 ! Many options ! Or even start vando or Adou or Cameron Carr or even Arthur Kaluma ! JJ has many decisions to make ! Have fun in Croatia 🇭🇷 windsurfing! Greets fr Germany 🇩🇪

If Lakers don't win a championship..or even contend..will Luka resign or go the Giannis way and move on

(Back to Dallas?)

It's NBA and he is the best case of anything can happen...but I dont see him leaving. That doesnt mean next 2-3 years will be very interesting. I think for them they key is that this Luka-Reaves-Kessler trio shows enough promise of being a backbone for a contending team. We'll get some feedback on that promise soon...
