As for working as a full time analyst...I had some very high level talk with analytics people in NBA, but reality is that unless you are managing that, the jobs are for young ambitious people (meaning long hours & low pay). Not that I'm not willing to work hard, I think I do most of the time, I'm just at the stage of my life that flexibility & freedom to do the hard work on my terms is more and more important. And that allows me to do my core job (airline ecommerce consultant) as well. But, I also learned, changed my careers like 4 or 5 times, that you never know what could happen next.
